HANNAH'S STORY
It all started with my rescue dog, Sirius - Siri for short. In 2024, we rescued Asher, 3 months later I drove 6 hours to save Siri from the euthanasia list. Not knowing anything about her and clearly in poor shape, I couldn't stop thinking about her. Once I found her kennel, that was it. She was my dog.
With rescuing Sirius, came the behavioral issues. Reactivity towards dogs & people with redirection as well as resource guarding me from my partner & Asher. After seeking behavioral intervention, I was determined to learn & decided to dive into the dog training world, working with her myself. Learning from reputable established trainers around the world, being hands on volunteering in shelters, as well as attending seminars. With everything I learned, Sirius became the amazing girl she is today.
This led me to strongly consider becoming a dog trainer & eventually took the leap to do an incredible mentorship program.
Because of Sirius, I also dove head first into the rescue world. I immediately started to volunteer all my time outside of work. Whether it be in shelters, adoption events, networking urgent dogs, transporting, evaluating or fostering, I was boots on the ground.
I have a huge passion in helping dogs and with that, helping people with their dogs. I take on a balanced reward based approach in training, using real life scenarios to aid in that. Helping dogs at any age with basic obedience, socialization, reactivity, as well as helping fearful dogs build trust & confidence so they live the life they deserve. The ultimate goal is to give our dogs more freedom thus a more fulfilled life. My passion for the German Shepherds & Malinois run deep, but I'm more than happy to help any dog.
My commitment to always learn & grow as a trainer is a core belief I have, always keeping the reason of why I do this close to my heart.
